Port Wing on Lake Superior in Northern Wisconsin is one of the main kiteboarding launches used in the area because of the big sandy beach with a limited amount of beach goers. This spot works on winds that are out of the west, northwest, and north. This is a decent location to learn to kiteboard or kitesurf in Wisconsin, the drawbacks or this spot are the cold water and limited amount of shallow sandbar area.
